Love this knife! It is beautiful just like a katana sword. Gets a lot of looks during dinner parties. Definitely going to buy more Dao Vua and Tokushu is the best place for it both in terms of quality and customer service!

Short Version - Great product with a satisfying "thunk" with each cut. Knives don't grab and there is just something to the "feel" when cutting that is very satisfying compared to wood and especially the budget plastic boards that we have all collected over the years. It has cleaned up easily for me and the fact that it is dishwasher safe was the last factor for my purchase as I don't have a huge sink and often cut proteins on the board. These factors make it worth the price. Finally, communication from Tokushu is the best and they reached out to me to clarify another part of my order by sending me pictures of the actual products. Above and beyond expectations. Great cutting board and great company to support!
Fast shipping and decent knife for the price. But i dont recommend for sharpen service. It looks like from knife maker. Im sushi chef and work in japanese restaurant over 20 yrs. I do sharp my own knives( Mazaki, Kurosaki, and Masamoto)
The knife feels like an extension of my arm. I've never held something so magnificent. The knife cut through tomato and onion like it was nothing! The weight is very balanced on the knife as well!
Also, customer service is amazing! The mail service lost my package, and Tokushu gladly sent a replacement. I will be coming back to them and referring all my friends and family!
It holds a wicked edge and its super light for its size.

The Takamura SG2 Migaki Gyuto 180mm is the sharpest knife I’ve ever used. When Tokushu described this as laser sharp they weren’t exagerating. Although I would prefer a Japanese WA handle, I could not find any Takamura knives available in this style (SG2 Migaki) with a WA handle. That’s just my preference though. The sharpness of this knife out of the box quickly diminished that preference. Tokushu Knife is very helpful at answering all your questions. I highly recommend them.
I am very pleased with the Forging and the Grind on the Nigara Blades. Out of the box the knife cutting edge was mirror bright. The Knife is very light weight and cuts like a laser. I am impressed by the team at Nigara forging, grinding, handle, and packaging were first class all the way. This Bunka handles like a very good Nikiri in my opinion.

I bought this as only my second Japanese knife. I was apprehensive about the price and using Tokushu. Tony put my mind totally at ease by communicating throughout the process and going above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I will definitely shop with Tokushu again! I was also nervous at the length of this blade but as the title states it has quickly become my favorite knife to cut just about anything with. If you’re on the fence, do it! You won’t regret it!
