Our Miyazaki Collection showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of Haruki Miyazaki, a passionate bladesmith based in the Nagasaki prefecture of Japan. Working alone in his small forge on the Goto islands, Miyazaki-san imbues each knife with his spirit, creating unique pieces that reflect his dedication to the art of knife-making.
Each knife in the Miyazaki Collection is hand-laminated, heat-treated using pine charcoal, and water-quenched. The blades are made from Aogami #2 steel laminated in iron, finished with kurouchi and a light tsuchime hammered pattern. The spine and choil are rounded for comfort, and each knife is fitted with an octagonal oak handle.
