Sakai Takayuki: 600 Years of Craftsmanship

Sakai Takayuki stands as the largest knife maker in the Sakai region, known for their good quality and reasonably priced handmade knives, crafted with the care and experience gained from 600 years of knife making.

This series from Sakai Takayuki boasts an HRC value of 65, offering excellent edge retention. It features a core of Blue Super Steel (Aogami Super), protected by a kurouchi finish and adorned with a beautiful hammered (tsuchime) pattern. Essentially, it includes all the key features celebrated in Japanese kitchen knives.

The 240mm sujihiki, which literally translates to "flesh slicer," is an ideal length for effortlessly slicing small portions of meat in a single motion or larger portions with minimal tearing.
