Kei Kobayashi is famous for his flawless fit and finish, and impeccable laser grinds. If they are in stock, they will not be for long.

Some of the knives we carry at Tokushu are from blacksmiths who had a reputation before forging their own kitchen knives. One such example is Kei Kobayashi. Prior to making his own kitchen knives, his reputation was rooted in being a very talented sharpener and polisher out of Seki city, having worked with some of the top blacksmiths in the region.

Now instead, Kobayashi-san holds the reigns on his own lines of knives made from a very high quality powdered stainless steel known as SG2 or R2 . His knives are incredibly thin, and with a simplistic Damascus pattern, marry very well with any stock or custom handle.

Shaving Sharp

This blade was shaving sharp right out of the box. It is a very well made blade. I am a fan of Damascus blades.
