Master Fujiwara's Maboroshi Knives

Master Fujiwara is globally acclaimed not only for creating stunning knives but for their incredibly high performance. His knives offer a rustic fit and finish, ideal for those keen on enhancing their knife polishing skills while ending up with a high-performance tool.

What makes the Maboroshi line from Fujiwara-san desirable? Firstly, the use of Shirogami 1 (White Steel No. 1), a favorite among knife enthusiasts for its ease of sharpening and the razor-sharp edge it maintains. Secondly, the Maboroshi line features one of the most beautiful hand-hammered (tsuchime) patterns seen in the industry. The deep craters clearly indicate its hand-hammered origin, and with stainless steel cladding, these details are preserved, with patina developing only on the cutting edge.

The 210mm gyuto is one of our most popular knife styles and lengths. It fits the "sweet spot" for versatility in the kitchen, much like a slightly larger shoe that still fits perfectly when you wear thicker socks. This makes the 210mm gyuto an essential tool in any kitchen.

Fujiwara is a legend

Everyone knows Teruyasu Fujiwara and some say he's the best blacksmith. Had to get a knife from him but I couldn't justify buying his even more expensive Denka line. Maboroshi fit and finish isn't as good as you'd expect from a 400 dollar knife but it clearly shows its hand made. It gets screamin sharp and it puts a smile on my face when i use it.
