Yu Kurosaki Senko Ei SG2 Sujihiki 270mm

Kurosaki-san, a talented young blacksmith from Echizen, has been creating exceptional blades since he began his journey in 2002 at Kanehiro Uchi-Hamono. Despite initial struggles and a desire to quit, his perseverance has paid off, and we are thrilled he continued his craft.

The Yu Kurosaki Senko Ei SG2 Sujihiki 270mm is a testament to his skill and dedication. This knife features an outstanding profile with superb grinds and a razor-sharp edge right out of the box. Crafted from SG2, a fully stainless powdered steel known for its exceptional edge retention, this knife benefits from the unique characteristics imparted by powder metallurgy. The result is a blade with a rich chemical composition and superior performance.

This Sujihiki is notably thin, especially behind the edge, slightly tall, and of average weight, but its performance and aesthetic are anything but average. Holding and using this knife reveals the exquisite craftsmanship and thoughtful design that Kurosaki has infused into this fine instrument.
