Miyazaki Kajiya AS Wrought Iron Honwarikomi 180mm Nakiri (No Handle)

Product Description

We are proud to present the exclusive collection of Wrought Iron Honwarikomi Aogami Super Knives by Miyazaki-san. Each knife is uniquely handcrafted, so if you're seriously interested, please contact us to discuss the specifics. Haruki Miyazaki, an ambitious and enthusiastic bladesmith located in the Nagasaki prefecture of Japan, creates these masterpieces in his small forge on the Goto islands. Miyazaki-san's process is thoroughly handmade - from hand lamination to heat treatment with pine charcoal and water quenching.

The Nakiri in this series is made from Aogami Super Steel laminated in wrought iron, featuring a kurouchi finish and a subtle tsuchime hammered pattern. The spine and choil are carefully rounded for comfort. Please note, this knife is sold without a handle.

"Miyazaki Kajiya", situated in Goto City, Nagasaki Prefecture, is renowned for its handcrafted knives. The artisan, Haruo Miyazaki, is a third-generation member of the Oba blacksmith family from Fukuoka Prefecture. Trained for five years under Toshio Oba, a master craftsman, Haruo Miyazaki produces knives with an artistic flair that is uniquely attributable to a field smith.
