Amazing board

Tokoshu Knife had the large boards at the best price. Board cuts like a dream. Food stays put. Clean up is a breeze. Hot water with soap. Scrub, rinse and dry with a lint free towel. All curing styles are no problem on this board. I love it !! My only regret is I should have purchased one earlier. So much better than my wood boards.

I do not understand what all the fuss is about this board and why it was $100+ . It’s a plastic cutting board at best and has an irritating texture on it, I assume for better knife edge retention, but it is difficult to clean and has an unpleasant sound when you scrap food off it, like a zipper. I’m going back to wood.

NICE CUTTING BOARD

I had a few Hi-LOW cutting board in the skin color. The wife prefers the black Hasegawa and the Parker Asahi.

Good all arounder

This cutting board is very GOOD at almost everything, but it is not GREAT at anything. Good feel, good size, good edge retention…honestly well worth the price but I still prefer the feel of a nice end grain board.

Black is where it's at!

This board has been great. It is 100% dishwasher safe and has a great feel to it. I have other fancy boards like Hi-Soft boards and various wood boards and this board has the best feel. The extra contrast against things you are cutting is also really nice. The guys at Tokushu are the best! Buy anything they have with confidence.

Nice f**king cutting board

Pairs nicely with both my Shun Premiere and Tojiro Atelier knives. No worries about dulling the blades and having to resharpen as frequently. It’s also the perfect size. I can chop 2 large tomatoes, a red onion and all the fresh herbs on a single board. Cleans up quickly and no stains from food juices so far… it’s black so that may have something to do with that, but I’d still say it’s pretty stain resistant. Get one and your knives will thank you.
