Worth every penny!

I got 2 of the 240mm Kiritsuke's and a 165mm Bunka. Got them in a vinegar bath to patina the blades, and then hit the sharpener. Took them all from 400 grit to 60k grit. The can shave hair super easy, and they are all excellent sliders and cutters. Im extremely happy with them and highly recommend them if youre just getting into Japanese style knives. What are you waiting for? Go buy some!

Dao Vua 165mm bunka

I like it 165mm bunks very much. So far, as much as some of my Japanese knives. For the price, it’s worth it. I’m impressed.

Unbelievable value

I've looked for a long time for an affordable Asian made knife at a good price. Researched and found this wonderfully well balanced super sharp beauty!

IMHO - Outstanding Value

Wanted a Bunka to complement other knives in the drawer but keep the investment down as it is one of many knives we have to use. Dao Vua really hit the sweet spot. Feels great in hand and certainly is sharp enough and should retain a good edge. The 52100 is a great compromise between edge retention and general performance eg not so reactive. Execution of handle and blade are just fine. It should be a workhorse. If they made a petty I'd grab one as well.

Amazing experience & knife

Best Knive & even better service
I HIGHLY recommend this shop & service. Recently dived into Japanese style knives with a dao vua and elected to go with the sharpening service. When I got the knife, I was impressed with the quality of the knife for something under $100. Unfortunately, it was not as sharp as I thought it would be and let them know in the survey, especially with the sharpening service. To my surprise, the owner reached out to me and offered to correct the issue. Now, this knife is amazing

Best Dao Via version by far!

Very functional knife. The 51200 steel is better than I expected. Blade is rustic but grind is good. Overall better than the purchase price!

Highly recommend!

Got this as a gift for a friend and they love it! They've demonstrated how will it works to me and it's as sharp and high quality as it is beautiful!

Just OK

I have had this knife for several months now. I honestly expected it to be higher quality. The blade is a bit warped, the bevel is not even and the glue from the handle is a bit sloppy. The knife is sharp, I do like the blade shape and design, but coming from the Chinese pocket knife world, I think there is a lot of room for improvement. I wish I had spent an extra 30 or 40 dollars and gotten something nicer.

dao vua v3 bunka…

honestly, i’m a little disappointed. i have a dao vua 210 mm gyuto that i am very happy w/. i’ve had it for years & it was the main reason i bought the bunka. the bunka looks good & is at a good price point. i expected the bunka to eventually form a patina, but i didn’t expect the new v3 carbon steel to react the first time i used the blade! my gyuto has yet to react. the bunka is a little lighter than i expected weight wise, the spine a little thinner & the blade came less sharp than i’d hoped for, but i’m okay w/ those design differences. still, i’d recommend this bunka to anyone who’s interested in getting started w/ japanese cutlery…
