Its kiritsuke-style tip excels at detail work, while the tall blade makes vegetable chopping and bench-scooping effortless. An octagonal ebony handle with a brass ferrule provides a secure, elegant grip, and the differential heat-treat leaves a visible hamon that develops a rich patina over time

I have been wanting a smaller sized cleaver. The first time I held and used the Dao Vua Special Edition Carbon Steel 180mm Kiri Cleaver I knew it was perfect. It is amazingly well made, feels great in my hand and loved the overall look and design. I would definitely recommend this Kiri Cleaver and brand. I will probably purchase a Dao Vua Gyuto in the future to add to my new collection. Delivery was very quick and I opted for the sharpening service which delayed shipping a relatively short time.
