A beacon in the world of knife-making, Mr. Yoshimi Kato stands as one of the leading blacksmiths. He received the certification of the traditional craftsmen in 2008. Taking forward his father's legacy, he assumed the helm of KATO UCHI HAMONO in 2018, located in Takefu city, Fukui. His father, Mr. Kintaro Kato, began crafting kitchen knives in 1928 and later established KANEHIRO UCHI HAMONO in 1958. His unmatched skills were recognized in 1987 when he received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays.
