Suehiro Ouka #3000 Grit Finishing Whetstone
The Suehiro Ouka #3000 is a premier professional-grade finishing stone designed to bridge the gap between medium sharpening and final polishing. Handcrafted in Niigata, Japan, this vitrified ceramic soaking stone is renowned for its silky-smooth feedback and fast cutting speed, making it an essential tool for chefs and sharpening enthusiasts alike.
Why Professionals Choose the Suehiro Ouka
- Refined Satin Finish: Delivers a beautiful 3k satin polish that enhances blade aesthetics and creates a "toothy" edge perfect for kitchen tasks.
- Superior Feedback: Unlike "glassy" synthetic stones, the Ouka provides exceptional tactile feedback, allowing you to feel the edge as you sharpen.
- Kasumi Enhancement: Specifically engineered to highlight the contrast between hard core steel (Hagane) and soft cladding (Jigane), ideal for traditional Japanese knives.
- Rapid Slurry Production: Its medium-soft bond quickly develops a rich abrasive paste (slurry) that facilitates faster metal removal and more uniform finishing.
