Great Petty!

As with most Hatsukokuro knives, it's a great build quality. I absolutely expect to clean & sharpen a Hatsukokuro blade when I receive it. At that price point, it's unreasonable to expect otherwise. Something has to give and I'd much rather it be a final sharpening than, say, the tempering or grind quality!

Tony and crew put a gorgeous shattered carbon handle on it and I truly couldn't be any happier with how it turned out, how good it feels in the hand, and how well it takes a sharpening!
