Overview
Hand-crafted in Portland, OR by former chef Ed Ross, the EDRO Poplar Knife Saya shields your 210 mm Gyuto with thick, medium-density poplar walls and a chemical-free finish. A hidden magnet replaces the traditional pin for quick, secure storage, while poplar’s low moisture uptake makes it ideal for carbon and stainless blades alike.
Common Questions
Q: Will this saya fit my non-Tokushu 210 mm Gyuto?
A: It is precision-sized for most standard-profile 210 mm Gyuto blades (heel height ≤ 51.5 mm, spine ≤ 3.5 mm). For absolute certainty, purchase together with the knife or compare the specs below.
Q: How do I care for a poplar saya?
A: Wipe it dry after each use, avoid soaking, and apply a food-safe wax or oil every few months to maintain a smooth glide when sheathing.
