About Yoshimi Kato
Yoshimi Kato, a certified traditional craftsman, took over his father's company, KATO UCHI HAMONO, in 2018. His father, Kintaro Kato, began producing kitchen knives in 1928 and was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays in 1987. Yoshimi Kato continues this legacy, producing knives in the Echizen region, a historic area known for its 700-year tradition of knife-making.
