Yoshikazu Tanaka Blue #1 Mirror-Finish Bunka 170 mm — Blade Only
This Bunka is forged in Sakai by Yoshikazu Tanaka with an Aogami #1 (Blue #1) carbon-steel core and mirror-polished soft-iron cladding. Its 170 mm edge, 55.8 mm heel height, and pointed Bunka tip provide a compact multipurpose profile. This listing is for the blade without a fitted handle.
Handle not included: Browse custom wa handles and confirm compatibility and installation before ordering.
Use and Care
The core and soft-iron cladding are reactive and will develop a patina. Hand-wash and dry the blade immediately after use. Use a suitable wood or soft synthetic cutting board, and avoid bones, frozen food, twisting, and hard impacts.

We ordered a Tanaka b1 bunka. UPS destroyed it during shipping. Spoke with Anthony and Logan. They were working on another for us that day. They got a new knife shipped out immediately. Great customer service and products. Always a pleasure to do business with. The Tanaka is gorgeous. Thanks guys. Carl.
