Shindo-san is a Tosa based blacksmith to watch. Why? I think I said “WOW” out loud three times when I picked this up. One reason was because of the thin grind, the second was because of the polished Kurouchi finish, which to me felt like a Takeda, and third was because of the Mazaki like surgical staple style tip. Who is this guy? I anticipate you won’t be asking in few years, there is no way this smith isn’t going places.
