Tsunehisa Kurouchi Tsuchime Aogami Super Japanese Knives

Tsunehisa Hamono is a brand located in Tosa, Japan. Their aim is to bridge the gap by bringing consumers quality handmade knives at an affordable price. Not everyone wants unnecessary bells and whistles driving up the price of their knife when all they want is solid build and good performance.

This knife features a core steel of Aogami Super (blue super steel) with a hammered (tsuchime) kurouchi finish, wrapped in stainless steel. It's all the Japanese kitchen knife hype words in one package. These knives have a hardness rating of ~63, which means they benefit from the impressive edge retention of Aogami Super without suffering too much from edge brittleness.

A bunka is already a very versatile knife, and if you're looking to pick this one up, you likely know that already. A cross between a nakiri and a santoku with a k-tip, this bunka is just a little longer than most at 175mm to keep things interesting. Your favorite knife shape just got a little more badass.
