Makoto Kurosaki Ryusei Petty
Hailing from Echizen, Makoto Kurosaki operates from his brother Yu Kurosaki's shop, nestled within the renowned Takefu Knife Village. While his brother mastered the art of blacksmithing, Makoto-san chose to hone his skills in sharpening, expertly crafting knives, sickles, and gardening tools.
The Kurosaki brothers, much like the Manning brothers in the realm of American football, have achieved a significant stature in their field. Both were mentored by Hiroshi Kato, a luminary in Japanese cutlery and one of the founding fathers of Takefu Knife Village.
The Ryusei (Shooting Star) series from Makoto-San introduces the use of VG7 semi-stainless steel core and stainless cladding. This particular iteration is beautifully complemented by a cherry and red Pakkawood handle. Each knife in the series is hand-engraved, adding to its refined finish.
