Game changer

Perfect for keeping your edges razor sharp in between sharpening sessions, easy to use just let it bake into the leather strop under some heat during application

Such a great tool

These stops and diamond compound are gold. They really help bring the edge of my Japanese knives back.

Great strop - Strop Shots Make it Shine!

This strop looks nice, and does its job. I like how it fits in my stone holder, and I can use it at the final stage of my sharpening process. The 2 micron Strop Shots Tokushu sells are incredible. In about 3 passes on each side you have a new edge. Excellent!

it works

I was learning about sharpening, stones and jnats, and the horrors of steels, etc... when I started to notice that many of the people I was listening to were big on stropping. Chefs were swearing by the use of a strop to significantly extend times between steel-on-stone sharpening. I eventually bought this strop block. I had a lower quality strop; as with everything else with sharpening, quality matters far more than a few dollars saved. Stropping significantly improves the sharpness of the blade after sharpening. Also, stropping maintains the sharpness of the blade after every few uses. Finally, the strop compounds work. I find that using a strop with compound for maintenance keeps blades sharpest..
