Tsunehisa is a Tosa-based collective supplying knives from blacksmiths across the different regions of Japan. Offering a great deal of variety of both steels and finishes under their banner, Tsunehisa is committed to excellent value while providing a handmade fit and finish.

VG1 steel (Takefu Special Steel Co Ltd) is a high carbon stainless steel. Seki City is famed for their work with the V-Gold series of steels. VG1 has good corrosion resistance, edge retention, and sharpenability to make for a user-friendly knife experience.
