Fantastic paring knife / petty. Better service!

I'm thrilled with my new Hatsukokoro Kumokage Blue #2 petty. It was super sharp right out of the box which was a huge bonus. It strikes the perfect balance between size and shape. It's just tall enough that I can use if for quick chopping herbs, but small enough to be ultra-nimble. Probably the best and most overlooked aspect of this knife is the small diameter wa handle. It fits neatly in my grip and lets me control the blade with precision. Overall, it's a lovely blade and a better knife. Also, I bought it in store, which is a real treat. Everyone there was super nice. I didn't realize until I left the store that they had stayed after hours for me, but no one told me they had closed 30 minutes earlier. Overall, the enthusiasm for the hobby and the breadth of knowledge was superb. Can't go wrong buying from Tokushu Knife!

Not good quality for the price... means too expensive for the item.
I salvaged broken knife from my mother's kitchen (in Japan) 30 years ago and took to the craftsman in the town to restore it. This restored knife, everyday average kitchen knife that my mother neglected and forgotten was way superior than the knife I purchased... people can't make a good knife these days?
