Overview

The Hatsukokoro Kumokage Blue #2 Petty 80mm is a hand-forged Japanese knife that combines rustic charm with modern refinement. Crafted in Tosa, Japan, it features a San Mai, Hammer Forged Damascus construction with an Aogami #2 carbon steel core. Its Kurouchi and Damascus finish provides both visual appeal and added protection. Because it’s made from high-carbon steel, be sure to dry it promptly after use to prevent rust. Not good quality for the price... means too expensive for the item.
I salvaged broken knife from my mother's kitchen (in Japan) 30 years ago and took to the craftsman in the town to restore it. This restored knife, everyday average kitchen knife that my mother neglected and forgotten was way superior than the knife I purchased... people can't make a good knife these days?
