Anryu Knives, a name synonymous with half a century of knife-making excellence, presents the White #2 Kurouchi Santoku 165mm. This knife is a product of the seamless transition of the Anryu legacy from Anryu San to his trusted apprentice, Ikeda San.

Superior Blade

The blade of this knife is crafted from Shirogami #2 high carbon steel, known for its high edge retention and ease of sharpening. The steel, hardened to 61-62 HRC, is wrapped in a multi-layer soft iron cladding, finished with a rustic kurouchi coating. This combination results in a blade that is not only visually striking but also highly functional.

Design and Handling

This hand-hammered Santoku is thin at the edge and comes with a well-made oval rosewood handle. It is lightweight and well-balanced, providing a comfortable grip and easy handling. The knife requires careful cleaning and drying to maintain its reactive finish.
