Tsunehisa is a Tosa-based collective supplying knives from blacksmiths across the different regions of Japan. Offering a great deal of variety of both steels and finishes under their banner, Tsunehisa is committed to excellent value while providing a handmade fit and finish.

These knives are made with Blue Super high carbon steel clad in stainless steel for enduring edge retention and ease of maintenance. The hammered Kurouchi Tsuchime finish assists with food release as the knife travels downward in the cut by creating pockets of air between steel and food, making for a world-class cutting experience.

A gyuto is already a versatile knife style, at 240mm, you gain even more versatility. And don't you dare tell someone who loves 240mm gyutos that it's too large to slice garlic, because they'll prove you wrong!

This is my first blue super knife, and while a little more involved than any other knife I’ve had, I absolutely love it. A patina has formed on mine at this point and looks fantastic! For the price you won’t find much in the way of, “better”.

Very sharp. Thin behind the edge. I love the look of the hammered kurouchi tsuchime finish. The crew at Toshuku did a great job mounting it in a handle. Very happy w/ this blade.
